Helmholtz Zentrum München (HMGU)
Helmholtz Zentrum München as the German Research Center for Environmental Health pursues the goal of developing personalized medicine for the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of widespread diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and chronic lung diseases. To this end, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.
HP-PS Partner Institute:
Institute for Biochemical Plant Pathology (BIOP)
The Institute of Biochemical Plant Pathology (BIOP) investigates the defence mechanisms, growth and fitness of plants as a function of environmental influences with a focus on the molecular reaction mechanisms to biotic and abiotic factors. The goals are new methods for sustainable agriculture and biotechnological use of plants as well as securing the role of plants in human nutrition and health. BIOP is part of the Department of Environmental Sciences (DES). BIOP includes the Department of Experimental Environmental Simulation (EUS).
Other partner institutes in the HMGU:
Institute of Network Biology (INET)
The Institute Plant Genome and Systems Biology (PGSB)
Research Unit Environmental Simulation (EUS)
